The Dream-Day 9

Well, it's time to (temporarily) wave the white flag. The back is not responding and I have to start listening to my body and shut it down completely for a week to get treatment, rest, heal, and then re-evaluate.

The hardest thing for me to do is not train. It is really important (and smart) not to be a hero and do what it takes to live for another day. Easy to say, not always easy to practice.

The Dream-Day 8

Two-A-Days are for wussies. :) Today, I did 3 workouts. Ok, 2 workouts and 1 training session.

#1: P90X Abs and arm workout at home. Done.
Killed it.

#2: 4th private swim lesson. Done.
Joe (Tri Coach) easily identified the cause of my breathing woes and we worked again on Zipper Switches. Really anxious to practice so I can lock and load. Won't have to wait long. Tomorrow's "lunch" is at the pool.

#3: Short bike ride on my trainer so Joe can get some base line power numbers. Done.
This is the really cool part. I uploaded the data from my PowerTap (bike computer) into a program called Training Peaks. Joe gets an email automatically telling him there's a new file. He evaluates the information and, then, custom designs the next set of workouts based on those figures. Once I start running, I'll do the same thing using the Garmin 405. What will they think of next?

Here's me on the trainer tonight. Don't make fun of my yellow socks. Good use of Marley & Me under the front tire to level my bike.
